Sunday funday

Im nixing the posting schedule. I thought it was a great idea but Im obviously having a hard time keeping up with myself. And then I feel bad… because I can’t follow a simple schedule that I gave myself. I love this blog and love writing posts, but the stupid schedule has to go. Oh well, it was worth a shot. That was my Sunday rant.

Today was my day off (technically so is tomorrow but Im ignoring that fact and going to work…too much to do) and they are starting to get scarce due to the upcoming Holidays. Our greenhouse is a hot spot for gifts and decorations. So today was a day I could have to myself, relax, and just take my time. I spent the morning with a coffee and coconut milk, some eggs and bacon, and some trashy tv.

After I filled myself up with those things I made my way down to the laundry room and washed every towel I own (because I wait til I have none left) and some clothes for the work week. I was feeling pretty productive by then.

I made myself a lovely sandwich for lunch. Sandwichs are few and far between with me since I don’t eat wheat, but I made this one on millet toast. Yum.

I didn’t take a photo of the actual sandwich but it was natural beef bologna, mayo, arugula and hot peppers that my dad pickled from our garden. Delish.

After lunch I made myself a grocery list for lunches this week, and decided to also make my family my famous pad thai for dinner. I spent two hours in the grocery store! I milled around buying fruits and veggies and healthy snacks. (I also finished my shopping for my Foodie Penpal, can’t wait to send it!). I love grocery shopping. I couldn’t find the rice noodles that I needed for my pad thai though which was super aggravating. (Ill be putting this recipe off until I can find them..Ugh). I promise I will share it soon!

While I was at the grocery store I found a new treat for myself.

I have never been an advocate of energy drinks, I actually think they are terrible for you and usually make fun of the kids at work who drink them. But these are different. They are basically flavored seltzer waters, with natural caffeine in them. No sugar, no sugar replacements… just good old flavored seltzers – with a kick. I already tried the grapefruit one and it was tasty, with just a hint of the fruit flavor. While I was in the natural foods aisle shopping these seltzers I also noticed the Steaz energy drinks.

They are also organic, natural, energy drinks. I have not tried this one yet, but Im really excited about it. The one I bought was a berry, green tea, yerba mate. This one does have cane juice and berry juice in it. But Im ok with that : ).

I stopped on my way home to get a quick haircut that I’ve been promising myself for the last month. It was necessary. I only had 1/2 an inch taken off, but it feels so much better.

Now Im going to munch on some chocolate. Im a sucker for dark dark chocolate and I think Im in the mood for the almond and sea salt one.

Hi Ball

So my question for everybody today is,

Have you ever had any of these energy drinks? Do you have any natural energy drinks that you love?

I hope everyone had a great weekend!
