Hi again! I hope everyone’s having a nice weekend. I worked today, but it was basically a slower day for everybody. We all moved at our own pace but got things done.

Since we don’t work until 9 on Saturdays (8 every other day of the week) I had some extra time to have a diner breakfast with a friend. Fantastic and super filling.  I had a Three-little-pigs omelet filled with bacon, ham, sausage and american cheese. Yeah. Pig is right.

Breakfast held me over until about 11:30 when I started craving something fresh…most likely from the heavy-as-a-rock breakfast that I ate.

I satisfied my craving with this:

A crunchy green apple and raw almond butter.

I spent a good part of the day doing some social media things for our company, and cleaning out my new space in the office. : )
Because I was working on our blog and facebook I had to spend some time snapping photos in the tropical greenhouses today. Here’s a taste:

I came home to my January Conscious Box! Here is a preview:

I’ll break it down for you in a couple days. I need to dig through it and do some sampling, but from first sight it is FULL of snacky things.

What is everyone up to this weekend?

West coast mail

This week has been a crazy one. I worked constantly from 8am to 5:30pm almost every day. I barely remember sitting down for my 20 minute lunch breaks. It was go, go, go, but I like days like that. I also love the feeling of accomplishment and being tired at night from a long-days work. Tomorrow starts the insanity for us though…

When I got home on Saturday I had two packages waiting for me. Two! I knew they were coming, but I didn’t think I’d get them both on the same day! (I can’t believe its taken me this long to have an opportunity to write..aye.)

First thing I ripped open was my box of goodies from my Foodie Penpal, Sophie.

Yay! Sophie’s package came to me from California (which is where I had wished my first package would come from!) I can’t wait to tell you what she sent me. A couple more days and you’ll know. Come back on December 1st!  I had to hold on to my package that I was sending for a few days because my Penpal wasn’t ready for it yet.. so I recycled Sophie’s box and sent my package out yesterday…

I can’t wait to hear that my package made it to its new owner. (My package also got sent to California.. two penpals, both on the West Coast.)

The second box I opened was my November Conscious Box. My first of many!

Conscious Box is a monthly delivery of “green” products from companies that care about the Earth. It’s about 20$ a month to be a member, but its so worth it. For example, I was in the grocery store yesterday and saw one of the items that I received in my box. It cost 11$ alone! (The box had more than 10 items in it…)

In the box were organic peanut butter cups, dark chocolate chili covered peanuts (already ate those), gluten free pancakes, coffee flavored teas (what??), sweetener, Hawaiian honey, and so on. Hawaiian honey? When would I have EVER tried that? I’m really into this if you can’t tell. Conscious box also offers Vegan boxes. Im not a Vegan, but thats pretty cool.

So if you are into trying new things, and want to discover some eco-friendly, green products, you should definitely sign up. You can join on a month-to-month basis, three months, or 6 months. Or you can sign someone up and send it as a gift. Its totally worth it!!! This will definitely keep me happy through the boring/dreary winter months. Something to look forward to : ).

Now I have to go help cook some things for Thanksgiving. Have a happy little Holiday.
