For my followers

Hi friends! So a while back I started rebelling against Facebook. I just stopped using it, and then it got deleted. I wasn’t a fan because I ended up being “friends” with so many people that I really wasn’t friends with! Didn’t like it.

Long story short, I started using Facebook again for business, and decided I really wanted to connect with my followers, and with the blogging community. It’s different this time. I feel like my Facebook has a purpose.

So if you are a follower/reader/blogger or friend, please connect with me on Facebook! Help me spread the word about healthy living, and keep in touch!

Thanks kiddies. : )

A birthday party

First off I want to say thanks to Lindsay over at The Lean Green Bean for the shout out. Some of you are reading this because of her and Im definitely thankful for that! I love this little blogging community that I am becoming a part of. : )

So sorry that I haven’t been posting that much but Christmas comes early for me, so I’ve been quite busy.
Anyway, I wanted to talk about a happy little birthday party i went to last weekend.

It was my grandparents 75th birthday party. They threw it for themselves at a restaurant/lodge that is super rustic and hidden in the middle of the woods. The chandeliers are made of elk antlers, and the whole back of the building is lined with huge glass windows over looking a giant field where they feed wild deer daily. The food is incredible.
My sister and I were the “young crowd” next to my parents, and the other 35 guests were my grandmas siblings and old family friends. That being said – my sister and I basically palled around for the day (which is a rare occurrence!).

We drank lots of wine and different beers and ate way too much food. There was a fantastic salad bar, as always, and giant loaves of rustic bread. Too bad my sis and I could only look at it….

and sniff it…

The menu is full of options including lobster, salmon, ribeyes and other gorgeous cuts of meat. I chose salmon over spinach with a side of garlic mashed potatoes.

Heres a picture of us with our Oma! : )

And another of my sister and I.

All in all it was a pretty great day. I know this was a quick post, but I will be back soon I promise! How was everyones Thanksgiving?
