3/60 Happy Hour
So for anyone who has been clinging to my site, staring and waiting for my own personal photo challenge to continue, please hold. With really harsh sunlight, crazy dark cloud-covers, and dead batteries, luck hasn’t been on my side. I am still gung-ho about photographing life, but give me a few days to get into a pattern. Slow start.
On another note, I’m back in the blogging world! I can’t tear myself away from my computer (or phone depending where I am) because I finally have the time to obsess over my favorite people again.
My new favorite couple (& family) are Sherry and John from Young House Love. Apparently everyone reads their blog and no one ever told me to! Come on you guys. Im obsessed with their two fully renovated homes (they are on lucky number 3!), and their laid-back, super relaxed outlook on life. Its really refreshing. They make me want to run out and buy a house that needs lots of love. I also made sure to tell my best friend about it immediately. She has always been a crafty DIY-er and she fell in love with them too. (She also just bought a super cute little house with her new hubby that she wants to do a lot of work too.)
I am also still obsessed with A Beautiful Mess. (I also mentioned them here and here.) These girls are just so crafty and light-hearted, I want to be friends with them.
Its super rainy here today and I’ve been moving fairly slow. Im sifting through my closet trying to get rid of more and more clothes. This seems to be my new favorite hobby.. but the space never seems to get emptier! It feels so great and healthy to get rid of three or four bags of clothes though, especially when you can donate them or give them to friends.
What are you doing this weekend?
Today is day one of two days off in a row and I’m already jumpy and wondering what to do with myself. I really don’t like not being busy! (Unless I’m on a vacation or somewhere far away). Some people live for their days off… but not me. Weird huh. It may have something to do with the fact that my friends that live near by work strange hours and my college friends live two hours away. I am somewhat grateful for the day off today though due to the 95-100 degree weather we’ve been having!
So today I’m thinking of taking my time at the grocery store, which is always dangerous, and spending some money on summer clothes for my vacation (which is in less than a month!!). I also need to spend a little bit of time out in the sun to get rid of this awful sock tan that I’m sporting – one of the bonuses of greenhouse-life. It doesn’t help that my best friends love pointing out that it looks like I’m getting in the pool with my white socks and shorts on…thanks guys.
This is just a little short post to say hi and update you on my day. I’ll probably post something fun later or tomorrow since I have lots of time to kill! Have a lovely day.
Here’s something pretty for you to look at.
This is a house on Long Island (basically in the Hamptons!) that my mom and I visited for a garden tour recently. It’s owned by one of my fancy plant-growers and Im in awe of their entire house, especially this patio.
Dare to dream.
